I began my career in Primary Education in 2009 after graduating from Edinburgh University. My professional experience spans both Scotland and England, and I have worked across the State and Independent School Sectors.
I began teaching in Midlothian and then spent several years teaching in Northumberland, where I gained a wealth of experience. More recently, I have served as a Support for Learning (SfL) Teacher in East Lothian and am currently an SfL teacher at an independent school in Edinburgh.
Throughout my career, I have held the position of Principal Teacher and led a whole-school Support for Learning Department. I have worked with children from Nursery to P7, overseeing transitions, managing referrals to external agencies, and supporting students with Additional Support Needs. During my time in SfL, I have helped identify children with dyslexia, as well as working closely with neurodiverse students, and providing ongoing support to them and their families throughout their educational journey.
